A lead volunteer…

  • Has a passion for the LSN mission…life skills, mentoring or mentoring solutions.
  • Knows the LSN toolbox and uses this knowledge to influence local mentoring organizations to build capability.
  • Works across organizations and/or deeply within an organization. Lead volunteers within an organization are linked to the Executive Director. All lead volunteers are supported by LSN.
  • Uses their leadership skills. Examples include influencing, creating (tools and processes), starting up new programs, managing projects. They grow capability.
  • Makes an active contribution to LSN or the GCMLA or a local non-profit. They are more than advisors. They are proactive in offering advice and time.
  • Uses their unique skills to “serve to their purpose, passion and potential” (beyond the Toolbox).
  • Serves as an LSN advisor by participating in (quarterly) LV meetings. Their collective experience enables LSN to better deliver its mission in a sustainable way.
  • Can be a Partner. This managing role is possible with a significant time commitment and sustained relationship with LSN.
